Mahón-Menorca PDO wins 9 medals at the World Cheese Awards 2025–2026

Mahón-Menorca Protected Designation of Origin cheese has once again stood out on the international stage after winning nine medals at the World Cheese Awards 2025–2026, one of the most prestigious competitions in the global dairy sector.

Organised by The Guild of Fine Food, this year’s contest brought together more than 5,200 cheeses from 46 countries, evaluated blind by an international panel of renowned tasters, technicians, affineurs and industry experts. The final took place from 13 to 15 November in Bern (Switzerland), which for a few days became the “Cheese Capital”.

These excellent results further strengthen the international prestige of Mahón-Menorca PDO and highlight the quality, tradition and expertise of the island’s producers.
